    About Upaya Social Ventures

    Upaya Social Ventures is a nonprofit organization that invests in entrepreneurs creating dignified jobs for people living in extreme poverty. We believe that stable employment is a powerful pathway out of poverty — and our Annual Gala brings together community members, business leaders, and philanthropists to support this mission.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable volunteers to support our Annual Gala. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an inspiring evening that raises critical funds for dignified job creation globally.

    Volunteers will play a key role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and that guests have a welcoming, seamless experience.

    Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

    • Assisting with guest check-in and registration
    • Supporting raffle ticket sales
    • Helping manage silent auction displays and bidding
    • Assisting during the live auction
    • Supporting the photo booth area
    • Ushering guests and answering questions
    • General event support and logistics as needed

    Volunteers will be assigned roles based on event needs.
