Description
Help a functionally illiterate adult who wants to learn to read.
BVLC provides free reading tutoring to adults who need help learning to read (or to improve their reading).
One in five adults in the Brazos Valley cannot read beyond the 3rd grade level.
An adult who cannot read is held back at every turn—at work, at home, and in their health—while a tutor opens doors to confidence, independence, and opportunity. The timing is flexible. You and the student decide on the time. It usually requires an hour per week. We provide all the training and materials.
