Join Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and Visit Indy to help protect and preserve an important natural resource of Central Indiana--Pleasant Run! We will be removing litter along the Pleasant Run trail as part of the regional TrailMixer festival, which commemorates the unification of 800 miles of connected trails across Central Indiana under Great Indy Trailways. To find out more about this region-wide festival, click here. By picking up litter we will beautify our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our trails and city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves and pants, and sturdy boots, as we will be working along the trail. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Rubber boots will be available for those who want to walk along muddy slopes to help pick up litter.
Parking + Facilities: Parking will be available at the Invent Learning Hub School parking lot. A portalette will be available for use.
