Do you like pie? You'll love volunteering at the National Pie Championships!

The American Pie Council is back with the 29th Annual National Pie Championships, April 8 and 9, 2026, where we will be choosing the nation's best pies! We need some volunteers to help us in our judging room and at registration, too.

In the judging room, we need table captains and table runners, both of whom ensure our judges have everything they need as they evaluate pies throughout the day. You will be showcasing each pie, helping serve up pie slices, clearing the table, assisting with any scoring needs, etc. It is a fun, active job in the hub of the most important activity of the day!

We also need people to slice pies in the judging room.

And need help with registering bakers and their pies, as well as registering our judges. This is more of a seated position, less active than working in the judging room, but just as vital.

As a thank you for your help, each volunteer receives a free pie event t-shirt and a free pie! Volunteers are also welcome to stay for a special free screening of "PIEOWA: A Piece of America" at 2 p.m. on April 9.

• Pie Judging Room assistance to include registration and helping judges, serving slices, cutting pies.: Thursday, April 9, 2026 - 06:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Judging room assistance (pie runner, pie cutter, pie server) only: Thursday, April 9, 2026 - 08:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST
• Awards ceremony set up, assistance, break down.: Thursday, April 9, 2026 - 2:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.
