    The role of the Local Coordinator requires 1-3 hours per week focusing on making sure the needs of SOBC Burnaby local are met. SOBC Burnaby's local committee currently meets virtually once a month which the Local Coordinator is expected to attend.

    Description

    The Local Coordinator is a volunteer leadership role elected by the Local committee for a one-year term. This position provides overall direction and support to ensure the success of the Local program and its athletes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and chair Local Committee meetings (minimum 10 per year)
    • Serve as the main contact between the Local, Regional, and Provincial levels
    • Support coaches and volunteers through guidance and clear communication
    • Represent the Local at regional meetings and conferences
    • Lead annual planning and budgeting with the committee
    • Ensure policies, accreditation, and deadlines are met
    • Organize and promote the Annual Meeting
