    Description

    Fundraising Volunteers

WarHorses for Heroes is dedicated towards providing free equine-assisted therapy for our active and retired military members. Our nonprofit believes in the power of healing through the help of a horse, and we’re honored to have had the opportunity to support almost 500 veterans in the past 10 years.

WarHorses for Heroes is looking for fundraising support to help expand our audience and generate donations. Funds acquired will all go directly towards providing free equine therapy sessions to our local veterans.

Are you ready to help facilitate our biggest fundraising event of the year? We are looking for support marketing, promoting and fundraising for the organization. Our 10th Anniversary festival is Saturday, July 12, 2025 and we need your help!

This position will collaborate with our administration leaders, who will support your efforts along the way. We’re looking for individuals comfortable networking with local businesses to sponsor and support our cause.

We are a young, growing organization and value creativity, resourcefulness, and initiative. We’d be eager to have this position be long term and turn into a leadership position for other fundraising events and efforts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Networking to promote our events and acquire donations
    • Coordinating with donors to assure commitments on each end are met
    • Maintain regular and open communication with WarHorses for Heroes leaders
    • This position could require at least 3-5 hours of productive efforts per week

    Skills and Characteristics:

    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Passion for our cause
    • Responsibility
    • Teamwork
    • Communication
    • We would appreciate a general understanding of how to use Google Suite apps, such as Sheets, Gmail, Drive, and Docs.
