    Description

Are you a social work student looking for meaningful, hands-on experience while making a difference in the lives of patients and families?

Wings Over Virginia Hospice is looking for Social Work Student Volunteers!

Hospice volunteering provides an opportunity to:

    • Build meaningful connections with patients and families
    • Gain experience working with individuals facing serious illness, loss, and grief
    • Learn more about hospice and interdisciplinary care
    • Develop communication, advocacy, and supportive listening skills
    • Support patients through companionship and meaningful visits
    • Gain valuable experience that can complement your social work education

You don't need to have all the answers—you just need to be willing to listen, connect, and be present.
