    Description

    Fall Creek Greenway Litter Cleanup

Join us at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help protect and preserve an important natural resource of Central Indiana--Fall Creek! We will be picking up litter along the banks of the creek, across the park, and cleaning storm drains in the surrounding neighborhood. By picking up litter we will beautify our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!

Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves and pants, and sturdy boots, as we may work near a steep slopes with dense vegetation. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Rubber boots will be available for those who want to walk along muddy slopes to help pick up litter.

Parking + Facilities: Parking is located at the Ensign Graham Edward Martin Park Basketball Courts, located at 801 W 16th St. A portalette will be available for use.

Transportation Information: IndyGo Bus #25 stops at 16th St. and Fall Creek Parkway East, a 2 minute walk from the project location. Click here to plan your trip with IndyGo.

    • While we love group attendance at volunteer projects, all participants in a group must be registered individually.
