About Carolina Boxer Rescue
Carolina Boxer Rescue (CBR) is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming boxers throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
About the Opportunity
Do you love organization, connecting with people, and helping animals? Carolina Boxer Rescue is looking for a Volunteer Name a Nub Program Coordinator to help manage and grow our Name a Nub fundraising program.
Name a Nub gives supporters the opportunity to donate toward our mission by choosing a name for an incoming boxer. This creates a personal connection between our donors and the dogs whose lives they help change.
You'll help ensure donated names are tracked and used, donors are notified when their names are assigned, and the program stays visible to our supporters.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate tracking system for donated names and their assignments to incoming dogs.
- Coordinate with the Intake team to communicate available names and help ensure donated names are considered for incoming boxers.
- Follow up with foster volunteers to confirm dogs continue to use their assigned names.
- Notify donors when their donated name has been assigned to a dog.
- Send donors a photo of the dog along with a warm, personalized thank-you message.
- Coordinate with volunteers to obtain photos and information needed for donor communications.
- Write one social media post per month promoting the Name a Nub program.
- Work with the marketing or social media team to schedule and publish content.
- Identify opportunities to keep the program visible and encourage additional donations.
Qualifications
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable maintaining a simple tracking system.
- Strong written communication skills and a friendly, donor-focused approach.
- Comfortable following up with volunteers across different teams.
- Able to work independently and keep records accurate and current.
- Comfortable writing short social media posts or willing to learn.
- Passionate about animal rescue and the mission of Carolina Boxer Rescue.
- Experience with spreadsheets, donor communications, or social media is helpful but not required.
Time Commitment
Approximately 1–2 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Some weeks may require additional follow-up when multiple donated names are assigned.
Support Provided
CBR will provide program procedures, access to the name-tracking system, approved donor communication guidance, and support coordinating with Intake, foster volunteers, and the marketing team.
What You'll Gain
- The opportunity to help create meaningful connections between donors and rescued boxers.
- Experience in donor stewardship, program coordination, and nonprofit fundraising.
- The satisfaction of helping CBR grow a program that supports our rescue mission.
