    Description

Food Rescuer - Burlington to Bordentown, Burlington County

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.

    The volunteer role would involve:

    • Picking up meals from one of our donors in Burlington, and
    • Delivering these meals to our non-profit community partner in Bordentown.

Each volunteer task should take no longer than 90 minutes including travel time between donor and recipient. This would be an ideal opportunity for two friends to do together!

Volunteers are needed on Thursday afternoons starting at 1:30pm.

We require volunteers to drive their own car. This opportunity will happen weekly and, while we welcome regular participation, we will work with your schedule (volunteer as you wish policy). Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations.
