NextGen Arise is seeking independent professionals who are willing to objectively evaluate and, where appropriate, provide an independent recommendation or testimonial regarding Safe Access, an innovative legal technology and public-interest initiative designed to improve access to justice for survivors of domestic violence and other vulnerable populations.
Safe Access is being developed to bridge critical gaps between survivors, legal aid organizations, shelters, social service providers, and the justice system through technology-driven solutions that promote safety, accessibility, and timely legal assistance.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome experienced professionals from diverse disciplines, including:
- Attorneys
- Law professors and legal scholars
- Judges (current or retired, where ethically permissible)
- Domestic violence advocates
- Social workers
- Public policy experts
- Human rights professionals
- Nonprofit leaders
- Legal aid practitioners
- Technology and legal innovation experts
- Researchers with expertise in access to justice, AI, or public-interest technology

Role
Selected volunteers will be asked to:
- Independently review project materials and demonstrations.
- Evaluate the project's significance, innovation, and potential public impact.
- Provide honest, objective feedback.
- If they conclude the project has merit, prepare an independent recommendation or testimonial describing their professional assessment.
- Participate in a brief interview if additional clarification is needed.
There is no obligation to provide a favorable recommendation. We value professional independence and objective evaluation above all else.
