Want to show your love for women with cancer? Volunteer at Swim A Mile/Move A Mile, the pool party in the East Bay and the biggest fundraiser for the Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC)! WCRC is a local community-based non-profit which, since 1986, has always provided FREE programs and services to women and their loved ones who are affected by a cancer diagnosis.
This event is possible only with the invaluable service of volunteers, who, year after year, have made this an amazingly successful event. Raise your voice and shake a noisemaker for the water-walkers, swimmers, joggers, walkers, hikers, bikers, friends and family, all who come out to support those in our community affected by cancer. We would love your help!

As a volunteer, you can groove to the tunes spun by our incredible DJ, indulge in delicious homemade food and drinks, and cheer on all of the participants. Most of all, you are giving to the community and helping to make possible the life-changing and life-affirming programs and resources provided by the Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) www.wcrc.org.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
The Women’s Cancer Resource Center’s Swim A Mile/Move A Mile for Women with Cancer is just a month away and we would love to see you and/or your family and friends there! This year, like all of the 30 past Swim years, the Women’s Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) relies on volunteers to make the event run smoothly and a great success!
Swim A Mile/Move A Mile is on Saturday & Sunday, May 9 & 10, 2026 at the pool at Northeastern University (fka Mills College). The Volunteer Sign Up contains all of the details for the event. We have particular need for Lap Counters, Registration Table, Floaters on Sunday morning, but there are many volunteer roles open, please take a look to find one that works for you!
