These opportunities are especially well-suited for students studying English, psychology, communications, social work, and related fields. Roles include:
Direct Support Opportunities
- Legacy Writing: Assisting patients in capturing life stories, memories, and reflections through guided writing sessions
- Expressive Arts Support: Facilitating or supporting creative writing and journaling activities that promote emotional well-being
- Companionship & Conversation: Engaging with individuals to help bring their stories to life through dialogue and storytelling
Indirect Support Opportunities
- Program Development: Helping design writing-based legacy programs and support materials
- Administrative Support: Assisting with organizing, scheduling, and preparing writing kits and outreach materials
- Community Outreach: Supporting awareness efforts and representing our organization at events and tabling opportunities
These roles offer students a chance to make a lasting impact while developing skills in communication, empathy, program planning, and creative expression. We welcome both short-term and long-term involvement and are happy to coordinate around academic schedules.
