The Treasurer serves as the financial steward of The 3D CEB Foundation, ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible management of organizational funds. This role supports the board by providing accurate financial reporting and guidance to maintain long-term sustainability and compliance.
This is a volunteer board leadership position.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee bookkeeping
- Monitor income, expenses, and cash flow
- Ensure proper handling of donations and event revenue
- Review and reconcile bank statements regularly
Reporting
- Provide monthly or quarterly financial reports to the board
- Present clear summaries of financial status during board meetings
- Assist in preparing annual financial summaries
Budgeting
- Help develop and monitor the annual budget
- Track fundraising goals and event profitability
- Advise the board on financial strategy and sustainability
Compliance
- Ensure financial practices align with nonprofit regulations
- Assist with preparation of required filings (e.g., annual IRS Form 990)
- Support transparency and documentation for grants or audits
Strategic Input
- Participate in board meetings and major financial decisions
- Offer guidance on financial risk and growth opportunities
🔹 Qualifications (Preferred)
- Background in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or business management
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Familiarity with nonprofit financial practices (preferred but not required)
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Commitment to supporting veteran-focused initiatives
🔹 Time Commitment
- Approximately 2–4 hours per month
- Quarterly board meetings
- Additional time during major events or tax season
