Description
The role of a CASA volunteer is to represent the best interests of abused, neglected, or abandoned children in the Alameda County dependency court system by researching, planning, documenting, advocating, and monitoring children's cases. You will collaborate with the Court, DCFS, the attorneys, the provider/foster parent, the relatives, CASA case supervisor, and the child(ren) assigned. You will complete 30 hours of training. You must also commit to working as a CASA for 12 months and for approximately 10-15 hours per month.
