    Volunteer Social Media Manager

    Mission

    Our mission is to help women and children heal from violent environments and achieve self-sufficiency through holistic support, including career development, housing, and financial assistance.

    Role Summary

    We are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to help expand our digital presence and increase community engagement. This role is ideal for someone who believes in our mission and wants to use their communication and marketing skills to make a meaningful impact.

    The Volunteer Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and managing social media content, and activating and maintaining a monthly content calendar.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media Content Creation & Management

      • Develop engaging, mission-aligned content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
      • Design graphics and write captions that reflect the voice and values of the organization
      • Create short-form videos, reels, and story content when appropriate
      • Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner

    Monthly Content Calendar Activation

      • Develop and maintain a monthly social media calendar aligned with campaigns, events, awareness months, and fundraising initiatives
      • Coordinate content with organizational programs and leadership
      • Schedule posts in advance using a content management platform
      • Track posting consistency and basic engagement metrics

    Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience managing social media accounts (nonprofit experience preferred but not required)
      • Strong writing and editing skills
      • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools)
      • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
      • Experience with email marketing platforms
      • Organized, proactive, and deadline-driven
      • Passion for community impact and nonprofit work
