2026 Board of Trustee Applications

The Organization Development Network is seeking applications for new members for our Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected by the membership and will serve a term from June 2026 through December 2028. The expected time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month.

We are seeking leaders who want to play an active role in advancing the future of the OD field and the OD Network community.

ODN is evolving from a traditional governance board to a working + governance model. Trustees hold defined operational portfolios connected to revenue generation, member engagement, and organizational modernization. This is an opportunity to contribute real leadership and execution in support of the Network’s transformation. 2026 is a year of acceleration and 2027 is a year of transformation.

Open Trustee Portfolios

Each trustee will contribute to one of the following strategic portfolio areas:

Communications & Brand Activation

• Deploy and execute ODN’s marketing strategy
• Strengthen brand clarity and storytelling
• Advance content creation and digital communications

Community Engagement & Digital Presence

• Activate member engagement across platforms
• Elevate social media presence and reach
• Improve digital community interaction and analytics

Partnership & Revenue Development

• Expand sponsorship packages and pipeline
• Develop B2B and B2C partnerships
• Support conference and strategic revenue growth

Member Experience & Digital Innovation

• Optimize member platform reporting and user experience
• Advance the digital user experience
• Build responsible AI capability for the organization

Qualifications

Candidates should have the time, commitment, strategic leadership capabilities, and business acumen to contribute to the work of the Board and the OD Network. They must be committed to carrying out our mission and strategic goals.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants for the Board of Trustees must be current OD Network members in good standing.

Specifically, we are looking for people who:

• Bring leadership experience in organizations, consulting practices, or professional communities
• Have experience in areas such as strategy, revenue development, community engagement, marketing, or digital innovation
• Balance strategic thinking with a strong action orientation
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork
• Can contribute approximately 10 hours per month to Board responsibilities
• Have knowledge of and commitment to the field of Organization Development
