Bereavement Volunteer

Responsible to: Volunteer Coordinator

Works With: Bereaved

Role

Provide support to families on their grief journey. This role provides bereavement call to individuals who are 6 months or more into their bereavement journey. Training is provided and you will be connected with our bereavement manager and volunteer team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide condolences to families with uncomplicated grief via phone calls

Secondary Responsibilities

Simple documentation of the visit, form provided, to be submitted to the Volunteer Coordinator

A successful applicant will show a positive attitude towards patient care and be comfortable around individuals on their grief journey. Training is provided.
