About Us

Christ-Lee’s Hair Boutique is a nonprofit training salon operated by the Pelagie Foundation. We provide braiding and hair services while creating workforce development opportunities, mentorship, and hands-on training for individuals seeking skills in cosmetology and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to empower individuals through dignity, education, and economic opportunity.

Volunteer Role: Braider

We are seeking skilled volunteer braiders who are passionate about giving back and supporting community-based workforce development. Volunteers will assist with hair braiding services and help mentor trainees in a supportive salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional braiding services (box braids, knotless braids, twists, cornrows, etc.)
• Support and encourage trainees and apprentices
• Model professionalism, hygiene, and client care
• Assist with community service days and outreach events (as available)

Qualifications

• Experience in hair braiding (licensed not required for volunteers, if applicable under GA law)
• Reliable, professional, and compassionate
• Passion for community service and mentorship
• Ability to work with diverse populations
