Elara Caring Hospice is looking for a special someone to visit with our hospice patients located right down the road from you! Patients are located in nursing homes and assisted living facilities all over Defiance, Ohio. Volunteers are needed to provide companionship to patients to help alleviate stress and loneliness. No direct care is provided by volunteers. Volunteer visits can consist of providing meaningful conversation, playing card games, going for walks, and so much more. It takes almost no time at all to make a difference to someone else while gaining meaningful life and volunteer experience.

Even if you can only volunteer a couple times a month, we would still LOVE to have you. If you have a busy schedule (don’t we all), that’s okay! Take a leap, you won’t regret it! Volunteer Coordinator, Kate Lankey, would be happy to help connect you!
