    Commitment:

    Role Overview:

    This role is responsible for executing manual testing across Greenstand’s applications to ensure functionality, usability, and reliability. The Test Operator will work with the QA and development teams to validate new features, identify defects, and support continuous improvements in software quality.

    Compensation:

    Volunteer, until otherwise funded

    Reports to:

    QA Lead, Engineering Team

    Collaborates with:

    Developers, Product Managers, Contributors

    Leads

    AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

    This role is responsible for ensuring the successful testing and validation of Greenstand applications.

    • Execute manual test cases based on feature requirements.

    • Identify, document, and report software defects.

    • Validate bug fixes and new functionalities before deployment.

    • Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to refine test cases and improve overall quality.

    • Ensure test results and findings are properly documented.

    REQUIRED TASKS:

    • Performing manual testing across various application features.

    • Documenting and reporting defects with clear details.

    • Communicating with developers to verify fixes and improvements.

    • Maintaining proper documentation of testing workflows and processes.

    • Coordinating with other contributors asynchronously to enhance software quality.

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

    • Experience in software testing or a strong willingness to learn QA processes.

    • Ability to understand and evaluate new application functionalities.

    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    • Basic understanding of test documentation and defect reporting.

    • Comfortable using Slack, Google Docs, and other digital collaboration tools.

    • Must be able to work asynchronously and communicate effectively with a global team.

    • Knowledge of Android testing tools like Maestro is a bonus but not required
