Volunteer Recruiting Coordinator Needed
The Animal Cause, Inc. / The Shepherd’s Ark
The Animal Cause, Inc. is seeking a volunteer Recruiting Coordinator to help organize and screen incoming volunteer applicants.
We are a Christian animal-welfare nonprofit building practical infrastructure to help vulnerable animals move from crisis toward care. Current needs include animal visibility, partner outreach, transport-readiness support, digital storytelling, data tracking, fundraising support, and volunteer coordination.
This role is ideal for someone organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to help move interested volunteers through a structured process.
Responsibilities may include:
- reviewing volunteer applications;
- sending follow-up messages to applicants;
- tracking applicant status;
- organizing applicants by skills and availability;
- helping schedule brief interviews;
- preparing notes for leadership review;
- assisting with onboarding;
- tracking starter assignments;
- helping identify strong volunteer fits.
This is a remote volunteer role requiring approximately 3–5 hours per week to start.
The right person should be able to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, communicate clearly, respect boundaries, and work within an approval process.
This role does not include final approval authority, social media admin access, financial access, animal custody decisions, or public authority to speak for the organization unless separately authorized.
