    About Maya’s Hope

    Maya’s Hope is a New York City–based nonprofit dedicated to helping vulnerable children in Ukraine and the Philippines access life-saving surgeries, medical care, therapy, and education. Our work is deeply personal, and we are committed to creating meaningful, lasting impact for every child we support.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate volunteer facilitator to guide our annual board meeting. This is an important gathering where we reflect on our impact, align on priorities, and plan for the year ahead.

    Your role will be to help create a focused, productive, and engaging environment—ensuring all voices are heard and that we stay on track throughout the day.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate a full-day board meeting (9 AM – 5 PM)
    • Guide discussions to ensure clarity, inclusivity, and forward momentum
    • Help manage time and keep the group aligned with the agenda
    • Encourage participation while maintaining structure
    • Support a positive, collaborative atmosphere

    Ideal Candidate

    • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, or group discussions
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to balance structure with flexibility
    • Comfortable working with nonprofit leadership and board members
    • Passion for making a meaningful impact
