Description
The TheoRose Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Board Treasurer to oversee our financial management and help guide our mission to empower financially disadvantaged youth and families out of poverty. As a core member of our governing board, you will ensure the financial integrity of the organization, oversee budgeting, and provide strategic financial counsel. This is a fully remote position requiring a maximum commitment of 10 hours per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage and maintain accurate records of the organization's finances, revenues, and expenditures.
- Budgeting: Prepare and present annual budgets in collaboration with the board and leadership.
- Reporting: Deliver clear monthly or quarterly financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Compliance: Ensure timely filing of necessary nonprofit tax forms (e.g., IRS Form 990) and compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Background: Proven experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or business management.
- Skills: Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks) and spreadsheets.
- Commitment: Ability to attend remote board meetings and dedicate up to 10 hours maximum per month.
