    Description

    Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) is a faith-based nonprofit empowering underprivileged communities in Africa through education, leadership development, discipleship, and community transformation.

    We are registering Apostolic Voice Education Trust UK as a UK charity (CIO) to support fundraising, partnerships, and programme development in Zambia and across Africa.

    Role Summary:

    We are seeking a UK-based Volunteer Trustee to join our board and support governance, strategic direction, and UK fundraising. This role is ideal for someone who believes in our mission and wants to make a meaningful impact.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide governance and strategic direction

    Ensure the charity operates legally and ethically

    Support fundraising and donor engagement in the UK

    Attend online board meetings (quarterly)

    Monitor financial controls and compliance

    Help develop policies and risk management

    Qualifications:

    UK-based (required)

    Strong commitment to AVET’s mission

    Good communication and leadership skills

    Experience in one or more of the following is an advantage:

    Fundraising / donor relations

    Finance / accounting

    Charity governance

    Communications / marketing

    Education or community development

    Able to commit 4–6 hours per month

    Comfortable with online meetings
