This enriching program takes place at the Florida Children's Museum located in Bonnet Springs Park, Lakeland, and is specifically designed for students with exceptionalities, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with the arts in a hands-on manner.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing suitable for creative activities, with closed-toe shoes recommended for safety and ease of movement. If you have a passion for the arts and a commitment to fostering inclusivity for all children, volunteering with the Able Arts Program could be a fulfilling way to make a positive impact in the community.
Volunteers in Play

This volunteer opportunity is NOT eligible for court-ordered service.
Volunteering at the Florida Children's Museum offers a rewarding opportunity to engage with young visitors. Volunteers will welcome guests, assist them in navigating various play areas and facilities, prepare materials for activities and events, and ensure a clean and safe environment by sanitizing toys and organizing play items. Additionally, volunteers play a crucial role in monitoring children's safety during their playtime. Participation is open to individuals aged 14 and older. The Florida Children's Museum hopes to inspire the next generation and equip them with confidence, creativity, and a love of learning.
