    Job Summary:

    The Accounting Associate plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring that all financial data, reports, and transactions are accurate, compliant, and timely. This position supports the accounting team in managing invoices, payments, and client financial statements while assisting with budgeting and financial analysis. You’ll help transform raw financial data into meaningful insights that guide more intelligent decision-making and support our mission of empowering small businesses and community-focused organizations through transparent and accountable financial management. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging accounting professional to gain real-world experience in bookkeeping, reporting, and client collaboration while developing both technical and analytical skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

    What You’ll do:

    • Gather client data from multiple sources (i.e., Balance Sheet, Income Statement) for analysis and reporting.
    • Ensure all statements follow GAAP standards and other accounting protocols.
    • Manage client invoices, payments to vendors, and expense reports.
    • Help prepare key financial statements, such as the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows, etc.
    • Assist with monitoring budgets by tracking actual spending against budgeted amounts for different programs and administrative costs.
    • Ensure the client’s financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
    • Maintaining financial accuracy, supporting the accounting team, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization (internal).
    • Manage bookkeeping with all accounting statements

    Qualifications:

    • You are currently completed an Undergraduate program or is a recent graduate
    • Bachelor’s or master’s in accounting and/or related field/equivalent experience
    • Any certifications in accounting
    • Worked with a nonprofit or community project before, preferred
    • No prior experience required, but all are encouraged to apply!
    • Strong communication skills, organized, and time management skills
    • Language preferred: English
