    About Students 2 Science (S2S)

Students 2 Science is a nonprofit organization committed to helping students see themselves in meaningful, real-world careers. Through hands-on learning and exposure to working professionals, we give students the confidence and curiosity to explore futures in science, medicine, and healthcare.

    About the Opportunity

Our Allied Health Career Day is designed to put students in the shoes of healthcare professionals. Through interactive activities and simulations, students explore what it is like to work in clinical, diagnostic, and patient-care roles across the healthcare industry.

We are looking for healthcare professionals who want to share their experiences, answer questions, and help students better understand the many paths available in healthcare.

No teaching experience is required. Your lived experience, compassion, and willingness to engage are what make the biggest difference.

    What You Will Do

    • Guide high school students through hands-on healthcare and medical career activities
    • Share insights from your career in medicine, nursing, allied health, or patient support roles
    • Help students understand teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in healthcare settings
    • Encourage empathy, professionalism, and confidence
    • Support light setup, cleanup, and organization of materials
    • Work alongside S2S staff and fellow volunteers to create a safe, welcoming learning environment

    When You Can Help

    • Shifts typically run from 8:15 or 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, depending on school visits
    • Volunteer scheduling is flexible and based on your availability

    Who We Are Looking For

    • Doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and healthcare workers
    • Retired, active, and early-career professionals are all welcome
    • Adults 18 and older who enjoy working with students
    • Volunteers willing to complete a background check facilitated by Students 2 Science

Why Healthcare Professionals Love Volunteering with S2S

    • Make a meaningful impact by inspiring students to pursue careers in healthcare
    • Help students see the human side of medicine and patient care
    • Share your knowledge in a positive, low-pressure environment
    • Connect with other passionate healthcare professionals and educators
    • Leave knowing you helped shape the future of healthcare
