    Description

Bring a smile to a hospitalized child!

Bring a smile to a hospitalized child’s face by becoming a bedside magician. No experience necessary.

Serve biweekly from 5:45-8 pm on Tuesdays/Thursdays at one of the east side main hospital campuses. Must be age 21+.

Volunteers visit kids, one-on-one at their hospital bedsides and deliver them their own personalized magic show. But this is not your typical stage-show, the magic itself is designed to engage each child, volunteers must adapt to situation in each room. The goal of each interaction is not just to amaze, but to provide levity, some joy, wonder, and - of course - plenty of laughs.

3 month training course provided; in person and virtual mixture.

Hospital service shifts are on a predetermined schedule with the hospital for Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Shifts begin at 5:45p, with visiting hours/service ending at 8pm.

Volunteer positions are available at Cleveland Clinic Children’s (Main Campus) and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s (Main Campus).
