    Description

    Grant Writer/Researcher

    The Grant Writer/Research volunteer is primarily responsible for assisting the grant writer in developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations and will persuasively communicate mission and programs to potential funders. Reporting to the CEO and the grant writer. The Grant Writer/Research volunteer will assist in assembling and submitting grant requests, conducting prospect research, and maintaining a calendar of submissions and other deadlines.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Assisting in developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders.
    • assist in maintaining calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports.
    • Assist in conducting prospect research.
    • Assist in prioritizing projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals.

    This project will require a long-term commitment and comes with hands-on training.
