    We create the schedule for the month. Shifts during the week are 2.5-3 hours long and on Saturdays are 2 or 4 hours long. Volunteers can sign up for as little or as many shifts per week as they would like.

    Description

    We are in need of volunteers (18 and older) for our non-profit thrift store. Volunteers will be expected to work approximately 3-4 hour shifts at our Bensalem location. We are currently open Tuesday through Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm. Our greatest need is for the 2:30pm-5pm shift and for the Saturday 10am-2pm shift. Volunteers will always work under the direction of a shift manager and will never be left alone in the store. Volunteers able to give their time for even one shift per week is helpful to us.

    Volunteers will be expected to:

    • Greet every guest with kindness.
    • Offer assistance to guests proactively.
    • Maintain a clean, organized space.
    • Assist in sorting, tagging and pricing, and moving merchandise out onto the floor.

    Note: Heavy lifting and climbing are NOT required.

    Instructions:

    Please let us know what your anticipated availability will be. Our shifts run from 9am-11:30am, 11:30am-2:30pm, and 2:30pm-5pm Tuesday - Friday. On Saturdays we schedule ideally from 10am-2pm unless exceptions need to be made. Schedules are made for a month at a time, but can, of course, be adjusted as issues arise.
