Make a Difference: Become a Hospice Volunteer in Gilroy and Morgan Hill
Details
Description
Sutter Care at Home – Saratoga is looking for compassionate volunteers to support hospice patients in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Many of our patients would appreciate friendly companionship or someone to stay with them while family members run errands or take care of other responsibilities.
The greatest gift you can offer a hospice patient is your time, kindness, and willingness to listen.
Volunteering can be as simple as sitting at a patient's bedside, reading a book together, sharing a conversation, or running a quick errand for a patient or family member. No previous volunteer experience is necessary, as training and ongoing support are provided.
Becoming a hospice volunteer is a rewarding opportunity to share compassion, develop new skills, and make a meaningful difference during the end-of-life journey. Volunteers help support the physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of hospice patients and their families.
Although volunteers do not provide clinical or personal care, they offer valuable companionship, a listening ear, and comfort to patients and their loved ones.
