Volunteer Creative Marketing, Graphic Design & Social Media Assistant

Are you creative, have a great eye for design, and enjoy social media? The Leukemia Research Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic, creative volunteers to help promote our annual ABC7 Gibbons 5K Run & 3K Walk, one of our signature fundraising events.

This is a great opportunity for a college student, aspiring graphic designer, marketing enthusiast, or anyone looking to build their portfolio while supporting an important cause.

What You'll Do

• Photo Selection: Review photos from previous events and identify compelling images to use in this year's promotional campaigns.
• Graphic Design: Create engaging graphics for email blasts, social media posts, and other event promotions.
• Social Media Content: Help develop creative content for Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
• Content Calendar: Collaborate with our team to develop and maintain a social media and promotional calendar leading up to the event.
• Creative Ideas: Bring fresh ideas and a strong visual perspective to help us increase awareness, participation, and excitement surrounding the ABC7 Gibbons Run.

What We're Looking For

• A creative individual with a strong eye for photography, design, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools.
• Experience or interest in social media marketing and content creation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Someone who enjoys collaborating, sharing ideas, and taking initiative.
• A passion for helping a nonprofit make a difference.

Flexible Hybrid Schedule

• In Person: At least one day per week at our Northfield, Illinois office, with flexible scheduling between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
• Remote: Additional graphic design, content creation, and social media projects can be completed remotely between office visits, allowing flexibility around school, work, or other commitments.
• Commitment: Ongoing assistance leading up to the ABC7 Gibbons Run on June 5, 2027.
