    Role of the volunteer cooperator

    Are you passionate about social entrepreneurship, gender equality and sustainable development? Do you want to use your skills to support women and young people in a high-impact context? This opportunity is for you.

    Since April 1, 2020, Cuso International has been implementing an ambitious and innovative international cooperation project, deployed across all of its countries of operation, including Cameroon. This eight-year project aims to promote gender equality, the empowerment of women and girls, and to position volunteering as a key driver of sustainable development.

    As a Business Advisor, you will work closely with the MINPROFF (Ministry of the Promotion of Women and the Family) through the Centres for the Promotion of Women and the Family (CPFF).

    Your main mission will be to:

    • Strengthening the capacities of trainers and participants in CPFFs
    • Supporting the development of viable and inclusive income-generating activities (IGAs)
    • Promoting the sustainable socio-professional integration of young women and women in vulnerable situations

    The volunteer will be required to carry out the following activities:

    • Supporting the structuring of adapted agricultural pathways
    • Supporting CPFF teams in post-training support
    • Train the teams on monitoring income-generating activities
    • Supporting post-training follow-up

    Essential academic skills:

    • University degree in: Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Economic Development or Business Administration

    Essential professional skills:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in:
    • Entrepreneurial support
    • Support for income-generating activities
    • Entrepreneurship training

    Support Package

    If you are shortlisted, you will need to:

    • Confirm passport or permanent resident details for travel
    • Provide two professional references and one personal reference
    • Complete a language assessment during the initial phone interview
    • Pass a police check and medical clearance before departure
    • Comply with anti-terrorism checks
