    Description

We are looking to expand our team to help continue our mission. We currently have an active presence on Instagram and Facebook and are looking to strategically grow our footprint onto other platforms, while launching an official newsletter.

We are seeking a creative and strategic Volunteer Communications Coordinator to elevate our digital presence and amplify our mission. This is a remote, volunteer role (non-board) requiring approximately 5–8 hours per week. In this role, you will be the voice of our foundation online, managing our current socials, building new channels, and curating our newsletter. While the day-to-day work is virtual, you will be an integral part of our core team and will join us in person to capture and support our signature foundation events.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and engage our communities on Facebook and Instagram while actively building and launching new social media channels.
    • Draft, schedule, and publish engaging posts that resonate with grieving families and medical advocates.
    • Design, write, and distribute our regular digital newsletter to keep our community updated on resources, stories, and foundation milestones.
    • Travel to our signature foundation events to capture live content (photos/videos).

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to write with a balance of deep compassion, clarity, and education, ensuring a safe and supportive tone for our community.
    • Solid understanding of Instagram and Facebook, with a strong enthusiasm or experience in launching/growing TikTok, Linked In profiles, and other platforms.
    • Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva, CapCut, and other applications to maintain a cohesive visual brand across platforms and email newsletters.
    • Willingness and ability to travel to attend and cover our signature in person foundation events.

This is a 1 year term and applicant must be willing to commit to the role from January 1, 2027 - December 31, 2027. If both parties are in agreement, there is potential for the applicant to continue past the 1 year term.
