    Flexible, remote volunteer opportunity requiring approximately 3–5 hours per week for 6–8 weeks. Collaborate virtually with the Founder to develop and refine website content. Occasional meetings will be scheduled at mutually convenient times.

    Description

    Phoebe's Safe Haven is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating the first fully ADA-accessible emergency shelter and support services for women with disabilities who are survivors of domestic violence. Our mission is to ensure that no survivor is turned away because of a disability.

    We are seeking a talented Volunteer Website Content & Copywriting Specialist to help us tell our story, inspire supporters, and create clear, compassionate, and engaging website content.

    • *Position Overview**

    As our Website Content & Copywriting Specialist, you will work closely with our Founder to develop compelling website copy that reflects our mission, values, and vision. Your writing will help educate visitors, build trust, encourage donations, recruit volunteers, and connect survivors with resources.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a writer who wants to use their skills to create meaningful social impact.

    • Ensure all content is clear, engaging, compassionate, and easy to understand.
    • Write with accessibility and inclusive language in mind.
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice throughout the website.
    • Collaborate with the Founder and website designer.
    • Assist with calls-to-action that encourage donations, volunteer applications, and community engagement.
    • Revise content based on feedback.
    • *Preferred Qualifications**
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Experience writing website copy, marketing content, nonprofit communications, or storytelling.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate complex topics with empathy and clarity.
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus but not required.
    • Experience working with nonprofits is appreciated but not necessary.
    • Passion for supporting survivors of domestic violence, disability inclusion, or social justice.
