Deliver Meals to Neighbors in Need

Description
Help deliver nutritious lunchtime meals to homebound older adults and people with disabilities in your neighborhood! Meals are prepared each weekday out of our Central Kitchen then sent out to 11 different pick-up sites all around Austin.
Volunteers pick-up is weekdays roughly between 11:00-12:00pm (exact pick up window varies slightly depending on the pick up site) and you can sign up to help out each week or substitute when your schedule allows. You can also select your preference of which area of Austin you would prefer to deliver to!

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Meals on Wheels Central Texas! To get started, please complete the following steps:
1) Fill out our application at https://www.mealsonwheelscentraltexas.org/get-involved/volunteer
2) Be prepared to upload a copy of your current auto insurance and driver's license directly into the application.
3) You will watch a short orientation that offers info on our various volunteer opportunities, to help you pick the opportunity that works best for you!
4) When you hit submit on the application, a Calendly page will pop up to schedule training. Meal delivery training is held Tuesdays and Wednesday at 1pm, and for team members virtually on Tuesdays at 10am.
5) If you are joining a meal delivery team, please make sure to put your team name in the application.
