    ORGANIZATION:

The Wilms Cancer Foundation (WCF), is a charitable organization, that supports and represents the needs of children, families and healthcare organizations affected by the childhood kidney cancer nephroblastoma commonly known as ‘Wilms’ (the 4th most common childhood cancer).

Our mission is to establish an international program of awareness, education, advocacy, early detection and treatment to tackle the spread of childhood kidney cancer. We also seek to support children, families and organizations as they tackle cancer on a daily basis, through initiatives such as our ‘Dream-Making’ program, in order to lighten the emotional and financial burden they face.

The WCF is a leader in childhood kidney cancer information and care. It is a member of the International Kidney Cancer Coalition, the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, a working partner of the World Health Organization (WHO) and a number of nationally based kidney cancer charities in low, middle and higher income countries. The organization is guided by a scientific advisory board consisting of the worlds leading practitioners in paediatric renal oncology from North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Latin America. It is the only charitable organization, worldwide, with a specific focus on paediatric renal cancer and is reliant on the charitable donations it receives in order to deliver its programs including; advocacy, education, treatment, research and support.

    ROLE:

To achieve our goals we create meaningful information pieces in partnership with key organizations (including the WHO) internationally to generate awareness, and educate families and healthcare providers.
