    Description

    Longwood Gardens Outdoor Horticulture Assistant

    As one of the great gardens of the world located just 30 miles outside of Philadelphia, Longwood Gardens is rooted in a steadfast mission of excellence in horticulture, education, and the arts. Across our many departments, each and every employee, student, and volunteer creates the magic that makes our Gardens distinctive.     AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER ROLE

    Longwood Gardens is currently seeking community members that are interested in supporting our horticulture team in our Outdoor Gardens. Volunteers are needed in the mornings throughout the week to help water and maintain our plantings.

    TIME COMMITMENT

    One day per week commitment. This is a seasonal role - April through October. Shifts are 3 - 4 hours long, beginning at 7:30 am.

    EXERTION LEVEL

    This is considered a high exertion role since it includes bending, kneeling, crouching, pulling hoses, and reaching above your head.
