Location: Senior living community near Pike Place Market, Downtown Seattle (98101)
Schedule: Flexible, 1–2 hrs./week (daytime preferred)

About the Participant:
A sociable older adult would love a regular visitor for simple card games (blackjack/BINGO), light TV trivia/chat Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and occasional reading aloud (mysteries).
Participant has significant hearing loss, please speak clearly and a bit louder, facing them so they can read lips.
There are some memory loss and anxiety, and they’re safer staying on‑site
Volunteer Fit:
- Friendly, patient communicator; comfortable repeating or rephrasing
- Able to keep visits on facility premises (no community outings)
- Comfortable with basic card games and casual conversation
- Age 18+, background check, onboarding, and health screening required (provided)
What You’ll Do:
- Enjoy cards, TV trivia, and conversation in quiet common areas
- Offer reassurance and calm structure during visits
- Notify staff if the participant appears anxious or attempts to leave the floor
How to Proceed:
Apply via our Volunteer Program. After screening, our coordinator will schedule your first visit with the on‑site Recreation Therapy team and facility staff.
