    Description

Are you an expert at spotting top-tier talent and mission-driven leaders? The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is seeking a Leadership & Executive Recruiter to help shape the future of our organization. As a 100% volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our success depends on the strength of our "Working Board". In this critical role, you will identify and attract the executive officers and directors who will empower the next generation of veteran project managers.

    What You'll Do (Impact: ~15 Hours/Month)

You will manage the full-lifecycle recruitment of VPMMA's leadership, ensuring our board has the fiduciary and operational expertise needed to thrive.

    • Strategic Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage candidates for high-level Executive Officer roles—including President, VP, Treasurer, and Chief Volunteer Officer—and various Director positions.
    • Leadership Vetting: Conduct initial interviews to ensure candidates are prepared for the substantial responsibility and the 15–20-hour monthly commitment required of our board members.
    • Mission & Value Alignment: Evaluate candidates on their commitment to our core values: Commitment, Empowerment, Community, and Advocacy.
    • Champion Diversity: Use the Fairness, Access, and Cultural Competence (FACC) framework to proactively seek diverse perspectives, ensuring our board reflects the community we serve.
    • Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the President and Vice President to align recruitment with the organization's long-term strategy.
    • Due Diligence Guidance: Help applicants address key questions about VPMMA's financial health, regulatory environment, and potential conflicts of interest.

    Who You Are

    • Talent Expert: You have a strong background in executive search, HR, or talent acquisition.
    • Nonprofit Savvy: You understand the nuances of nonprofit governance and the fiduciary duties of Care, Loyalty, and Obedience.
    • Relationship Builder: You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse professional stakeholders.
    • Ethical & Professional: You maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards, as outlined in our Code of Conduct.

    Why Join Our Alliance?

    • Build a Legacy: Directly influence the leadership that shapes the futures of veterans and military spouses.
    • Professional Growth: Network with industry leaders and access professional development resources, including Google Certificates on Coursera.
    • Fulfilling Mission: Be part of a dynamic, supportive network dedicated to excellence and positive social impact.

    Volunteer Expectations

As a member of our support staff, you will be expected to maintain a regular service schedule and respond to communications within 24 hours to ensure our recruitment pipeline remains agile and professional.
