    Description

New Leaf Behavioral Health is looking for a technically skilled volunteer (or small volunteer team) to help us build an online platform where two audiences — clients and professionals — can log in and access skill-based therapeutic and educational content, primarily video, along with supporting materials.

This is a real, scoped project with a clear deliverable and not an open-ended "help with our tech" ask. We're looking for someone who can help us choose and configure the right existing platforms and tools, not build a system from scratch.

We're intentionally scoping this around proven, existing platforms built for video-based membership and course content (e.g., the Uscreen/Vimeo OTT/Kajabi/Thinkific category) rather than custom-built infrastructure — so the right volunteer is someone who can evaluate, select, and configure these tools well, more than someone coding a system from scratch.

    What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional software engineer, but this project has more moving pieces than a simple website build. Strong fits include someone with experience in one or more of:

    • Platform selection & setup — familiarity with video-hosting/course-membership platforms and how they compare
    • Video hosting & content protection — configuring streaming and download/redistribution protection for video
    • E-commerce & membership logic — subscriptions, one-time purchases, and promo-code-based free access, correctly tied to user roles
    • User role/permissions configuration — setting up separate content access for two different audience types
    • Integration work — connecting the platform, payment processor, and video host so everything works together
    • Bonus: design sensibility for a calm, professional, trust-building feel; awareness of client data privacy considerations in a therapeutic context

Please reach out to Patrick Malloy with a note about your experience level with any of the above to get the conversation started.
