Volunteers must be at least 15. Must be able to lift boxes of books. We require those who are not already onboarded as long-term SJPL volunteers to sign a one-time volunteering form which we will provide.
Description
Help the Friends of Bascom Library with their book sale.
- Please note, we especially need help with the shift on Saturday, May 9 from 1:00-4:00 pm.
The work for the first and last shifts will involve lifting and transporting boxes of books which can be heavy. The Friends will handle purchase transactions. We recommend bringing a full water bottle.
Volunteers must be at least 15. For more information and to register for one or more shifts, please go to the Library website.
3 shifts available:
- preparing for book sale next day: Friday, May 8, 2026 -- 2:00 to 5:00 pm
- sorting and arranging books: Saturday, May 9, 2026 -- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
- packing away materials: Saturday, May 9, 2026 -- 1:00 to 4:00 pm
