🐴 Do You Love Horses? We Have the Perfect Volunteer Opportunity for You! 🐴

Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding is proud to be the only Premier Accredited PATH Intl. Center in New Mexico. We uphold the highest standards in therapeutic horseback riding and equine psychotherapy — and at the heart of it all are our incredible horses.

What many people don’t realize is how much daily care our horses need to stay healthy, happy, and ready to serve our riders. That’s where you come in!

We need people to help with those daily chores and keeping our barns clean and healthy. We try to have volunteers daily so the job is not too big for any one person. We have 10 horses and it takes about 3-4 hours per day. You should be healthy and able to lift 30-40 lbs.

Once trained, you can set a regular time that works best for your schedule. And yes — you’re welcome to take extra time to hug, pet, and connect with our horses. They truly enjoy the attention. ❤️

If you enjoy being active, working around animals, and making a difference behind the scenes, this is a meaningful and rewarding way to serve.

    Instructions:

🐴 Volunteer Opportunity: Help Care for Our Therapy Horses 🐴

Loving Thunder Therapeutic Riding is looking for dependable volunteers to help clean horse stalls and support daily barn care. This is an essential behind-the-scenes role that keeps our horses healthy and comfortable so they can continue changing lives.

    What the role involves:

    • Cleaning stalls and maintaining barn areas
    • Moving hay, feed, and bedding
    • Working in close proximity to our horses

    Volunteer requirements:

    • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
    • No physical limitations that prevent working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.)
    • Comfortable working around horses

Training is provided, and our horses are very gentle and accustomed to volunteers. While horse experience is appreciated, it is not required — just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

If you enjoy physical activity, don’t mind getting a little dusty, and want to play an important role in caring for incredible therapy horses, we would love to hear from you.

Join us in keeping our barn clean, safe, and ready to serve our riders. 💙
