    Description

In partnership with Senior Planet, a national nonprofit which harnesses technology to change the way older Americans age, our Fill My Cup! Adult Literacy and Adult Education Services as a Licensed Partner offers introductory classes and workshops about technology, health and wellness, and socialization. Senior Planet from AARP is a community of people 60 and older who are learning to thrive in the digital world.

Senior Planet programs are offered free of charge to help older adults build technology skills to allow them to improve their health, make new friendships, save money, and advocate in their communities. Senior Planet curriculum includes a number of interesting topics.

Fill My Cup! seeks volunteer trainers to help deliver Senior Planet programs. Trainers are the face of Senior Planet. Their role is critical to informing the experience of program participants. Based on the number of programs scheduled, trainers should be prepared to dedicate five or more hours a month to the volunteer role.

Primary Responsibilities of this Volunteer Opportunity:

Complete the entire Train the Trainer series to prepare for trainer duties, including a practice teaching session

Facilitate Senior Planet classes using Senior Planet curricula for Fill My Cup!

May assist the administrator with data entry.

    Looking forward to connecting!
