    Description

    Bring comfort, connection, and creativity to patients through art.

    We are seeking compassionate and creative individuals to serve as Hospice Art Volunteers, using visual art to enhance the quality of life for patients receiving end-of-life care. In this role, volunteers provide meaningful engagement through one-on-one or small group art activities-ranging from simple coloring and painting to collaborative art projects.

    Volunteers may visit patients in private homes or assisted living communities. No professional art or hospice/medical background is required-just a warm presence, patience, and a love of creative expression.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead or assist with individual or group art sessions for hospice patients
    • Adapt art activities based on patient ability and interest
    • Offer companionship and emotional support through shared creative experiences
    • Collaborate with the volunteer coordinator and care team to ensure appropriate placement and activity plans

    Ideal Qualities:

    • Kind, empathetic, and a good listener
    • Comfortable with the hospice philosophy
    • Creative and flexible in working with various art materials and patient needs

    Training and support are provided. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a gentle, lasting impact through the healing power of art.

    Scheduling is flexible and based on your availability and the needs of patients.
