    Description

Shopping Companions, Visitors Needed for Neighbors who have legal blindness, or Advocates Needed for Long Term Care Residents

Help a neighbor with grocery or clothing shopping, enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat. Help read newsletters and professional journals or shred junk mail for a person with low vision or legal blindness. Through these simple and easy activities, you can make a difference to a home-bound person in as little as just one or two hours per week.

Call today! With clients located throughout Connecticut there will be a neighbor within 5 to 7 miles of your home or work. Your energy can make a huge difference. If you are friendly, outgoing and able to fulfill your commitments, then this is right for you. Don't miss this opportunity to pay it forward! Free training is provided.

If you have more time - 4 hours per week - you can become a long term care advocate receiving, handling and trying to resolve resident complaints, including those made on behalf of a resident, within the facility, under supervision of the Regional Ombudsman.
