    Description

    Video Editor (Marketing)

    Job Title: Video Editor

    Location: Remote

    Department: Marketing

    Reports To: Marketing Department Director

    Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)

    Duration: 4 Months

    Job Descriptions:

    • Edit and assemble video footage, audio, graphics, and animations to produce high-quality videos (up to ~20 minutes) that align with Resilience Inc.’s mission, campaigns, and SEL objectives.
    • Enhance visual and audio quality to ensure videos are engaging, clear, accessible, and easy for diverse audiences (K–12 students, parents, educators) to follow.
    • Collaborate with the content team to develop video concepts, storyboards, and shot lists that effectively communicate key messages around resiliency, emotional intelligence, and SEL.
    • Select and incorporate appropriate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to strengthen emotional impact while maintaining professionalism and mission alignment.
    • Perform color correction and basic color grading to maintain a consistent visual style across Resilience Inc. video content.
    • Add text overlays, graphics, lower-thirds, and subtitles/captions to improve comprehension, accessibility, and retention of learning points.
    • Apply transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects thoughtfully to improve pacing, clarity, and viewer engagement without distracting from educational goals.
    • Work closely with subject-matter experts to incorporate feedback and ensure videos accurately reflect evidence-based SEL concepts and approved messaging.
    • Organize and manage media assets (footage, graphics, templates, audio) and maintain a clean, searchable media library.
    • Conduct quality assurance to ensure final exports are free from errors (audio sync issues, spelling mistakes, glitches, inconsistent levels) and meet publishing standards.

    Requirements:

    • Alignment with Resilience Inc.’s mission and values, including commitment to promoting social and emotional health and supporting youth and families through resiliency skill-building.
    • Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent (student/freelance/portfolio experience accepted).
    • Basic knowledge of audio editing (levels, noise reduction, clean voice clarity) and visual best practices (framing, pacing, readability).
    • Familiarity with captions/subtitles and accessibility-minded editing (readable text, clear audio, inclusive presentation).
    • Strong attention to detail and quality standards, especially for text accuracy and smooth audio/video playback.
    • Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate quickly while maintaining content consistency.
    • Organized and reliable with file management, naming conventions, and version control habits.
    • Able to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
    • Able to collaborate with a team and attend remote weekly meetings.
    • Reliable, punctual, and responsive in communication.
