    Long-term Volunteer Thrift Store

    Long-Term Volunteers: This program offers a wide variety of opportunities and flexible schedules for those who wish to volunteer regularly for more than 6 months. Volunteers ages 14+ are welcome, but those aged 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled.

    How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner
    • Sort, inspect, and organize donated items
    • Hang, tag, and merchandise clothing and household goods
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor
    • Restock shelves and displays as needed
    • Assist with donation intake and donor interactions
    • Support special sales and promotional events
    • Help maintain a positive and professional environment

    Qualifications

    • Friendly and dependable
    • Comfortable standing for extended periods
    • Able to lift up to 25 pounds (with assistance if needed)
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Willingness to follow store policies and procedures

    Impact

    Every shift worked in the thrift store directly supports medical care, food, shelter, and lifesaving programs for animals in our care. Volunteers in this role help turn donated goods into second chances.

    Time Commitment

    Flexible scheduling available. Shifts typically range from 3–4 hours.
