The Center for Responsible AI in Education (CRAIE) is a nonprofit dedicated to helping K–12 schools and community organizations adopt artificial intelligence safely, ethically, and equitably. We are seeking volunteers passionate about education, AI, and digital equity to support our work in AI literacy training, curriculum development, community workshops, and research on responsible AI use in schools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating or delivering AI literacy workshops for teachers, students, and nonprofits
- Help develop accessible guides, slides, and resources on responsible AI use
- Conduct light research on policies, best practices, and equity concerns in AI and education
- Support outreach to schools, nonprofits, and community partners
- Collaborate with CRAIE staff to pilot educational materials and collect feedback
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in AI, education, and equity
- Professional or academic experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or edtech is highly preferred
- Teaching, curriculum design, policy, or community engagement background is a plus
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment
- Commitment to responsible technology use and inclusive education
